\nThis is my favorite spot to spend a Sunday afternoon and in my opinion, one of the coolest beaches on island.
\nIt is a favorite among locals and you will see us there with our kids, grills, dogs and coolers.

\nCANE BAY <\/strong>
\nCane Bay is a great family beach. The beach is sandy and the waves are gentle to moderate.
\nThere is generally enough surf for body boarding, but also a calmer area for the kids and snorkeling.
\nA popular weekend hangout, you will often see families there grilling and relaxing under a tree.
\nAlso the location of the famous Cane Bay Wall, it is a popular dive site.
\nThe Cane Bay Wall start at a depth of 30-40 feet and drops to over 3,200 feet.
\nThere are 3 restaurant\/bars there as well as bathroom accommodations.
\nTo get to Cane Bay, head west from Christiansted on Northside Rd.
\nTake a right onto North Shore Rd and follow that along the coast to Cane Bay…about 10 minutes.
\nYou will need to take a right at Rowdy Joe’s Northshore Eatery and then you are almost there.
\nWeekdays are a great time if you don’t care for crowds.
\nThis is one beach that WILL be packed on cruise ship days.<\/p>\nSANDY POINT<\/strong>
\nSandy Point is probably one of the most beautiful beaches in the world.
\nEndless white sand and turquoise waters.
\nThis is a turtle nesting site so it is not open all the time.
\nThe refuge is only open to the public from 10:00am to 4:00pm on Saturdays and Sundays and is closed at all other times.
\nIt is closed April 1 – September 1 during turtle nesting season in order to protect turtle nests and hatchlings.
\nIt is also against the law to drive anything down into the sand.
\nTo get to Sandy Point, follow Melvin Evans Rt 66 west to the refuge.<\/p>\nRAINBOW BEACH <\/strong>
\nBesides the white sand beach and clear blue water, there is just lots to do at Rainbow Beach.
\nLocated just north of Frederiksted, it is close to the shops and dining in town but has a lot of it’s own right there.
\nRhythms at Rainbow Beach is a great place for a bite to eat or a cold drink.
\nWest End Water Sports has jet ski rentals, paddle board rentals and more.
\nThere is beach volleyball and lots of other fun activity happening at Rainbow Beach.
\nThe sandy bottom beach is great for snorkeling, swimming or just floating around with a cold one !
\nWeekdays are a great time if you don’t care for crowds.
\nThis is one beach that WILL be packed on weekends.<\/p>\nJACK & ISAAC <\/strong>
\nAlas, a local’s only secret no more…
\nJack and Isaac is probably the most beautiful,usually secluded and private beach on St Croix.
\nIt is on the easternmost tip of the island and is accessible only by foot.
\nWhite sand beach and clear blue water stretch on and on.
\nThe hike to Isaac Bay is about 15 minutes each way.
\nThe trail begins at a small parking area right before Point Udall.
\nIt is an easy hike since the terrain is pretty level and just a gently sloping grade all the way.
\nAt the bottom are steps leading down to the white sand beach.
\nBring your snorkel gear for some amazing underwater scenery.
\nThe sandy bottom shoreline is great for swimming.<\/p>\n
\nThe parking area is remote and unattended cars can appear an easy target.<\/p>\nSMUGGLERS COVE <\/strong>
\nHere’s a great hidden gem on the East End..
\nA little hard to find, it’s generally pretty private.
\nLocals know about it, so you’ll see some people there on the weekends.
\nTucked down a dirt road, this perfect white sand beach has gentle waves and lots of shade trees just off the beach.
\nIt’s a perfect spot to spend the day with the grill going and a cooler full of drinks.
\nTo find this beach, go like you are going to Cramer Park or Point Udall.
\nIMMEDIATELY after you turn off of either East End or South Shore Rd toward Point Udall, look to your left for the dirt road leading down into the trees.
\nCRESCENT BEACH <\/strong>
\nCrescent Beach is generally a very private beach.
\nIt is accessible only by foot and is a neighborhood beach.
\nYou will seldom see more than a couple people out on this beach.
\nThe waves are a little rougher than other areas, but a great place to play in the surf.
\nYou will find soft white sand, sandy bottom clear blue water and some shade trees along the beach to get out of the sun.
\nThis beach is on the East End and is accessed though the Estate North Grapetree road.
\nTurn in at the stone pillar with the “C” on it and follow down to the beach.
\nYou will make a right, head to the end and park.
\nYou walk BETWEEN the houses along the property line.
\nPlease do not walk across people’s property, this is a residential area and private lots.<\/p>\nCRAMER’S PARK <\/strong>
\nCramer Park is another great spot for a get together with family and friends.
\nThis large park sits on a beautiful while sand beach just perfect for swimming or floating in the sun.
\nThere are picnic tables, grills and shaded areas for those who would rather stay out of the sun.
\nBathroom facilities are provided.
\nPavillions are available for comfortable ,shaded dining.
\nTo get to Cramer Park, head east from Christiansted
